Attention Moms and Dads

Your child is the star of the show.

Comedy magic for birthday parties in Columbus and all over Ohio. Your birthday child helps with the tricks, gets the biggest moment of the show, and hears thirty other kids cheering for them. That is the part they talk about at school on Monday.

Why parents book me

One less thing to worry about

You have enough to organize. The entertainment should be the part that takes care of itself.

I arrive ready

Completely self-contained. I bring my own tables and everything else the show needs. I get there about twenty minutes early to set up and I am packed away in ten.

The grown-ups laugh too

Clean, age-appropriate comedy that plays to the whole room. Parents end up watching instead of checking their phones, which is not what anyone expects.

Nobody gets picked on

The show is sensory friendly. Nothing is loud or startling, and no child is ever put on the spot or made the joke.

"We had a wonderful time! At the end of the night, Kendall said: 'This was my best birthday ever, Mom!' The magic show was very entertaining, not only for the children but the adults too. You did a great job of personalizing the show by remembering the children's names and involving them. Our daughter felt like she was the star of the show."

The part that matters

Every birthday child gets their moment

Not as an extra. Not on the more expensive show only. On both of my shows, the birthday child helps me through the tricks and gets the big finish.

I learn the children's names and use them. I build something around whoever the party is for. And at the end of the longer show, the birthday child is the one who makes a live rabbit appear, in front of every friend they invited.

They are not watching a magician. They are in the show, and it is their day.

Yes, there is a real rabbit

She comes to the Ultimate Show, and the birthday child is the one who makes her appear. Every child gets to see her up close afterward.

She is the reason I prefer to be indoors. It is better for her, and it is a calmer room for the children too.

There is also a close-up show for ages 13 and up, built for tweens and teens. Ask me about it.

Two parents and one very honest ten-year-old

All three were at parties I performed at. Worth more than anything I could write here.

What parents say

Real parties, real parents

"Carroll's magic was a tremendous hit at our seven year old's birthday party. He kept 18 kids and all of the adults laughing with joy and amazement as each setup had unbelievable results. I would recommend Carroll for any party or event."
Bryan G.
"Carroll was wonderful. He did such a great job of performing for our group of 5 year olds. He kept them engaged and enthralled for the entire performance. He arrived early & stayed late. The kids had a wonderful time!"
Lauren O.
"Carroll took our birthday party from great to fantastic! We had family ranging in age from 2 to 88 present and everyone was laughing and simply amazed by his skill. He was even willing to have coffee and cake with us to help late-comers settle in."
Elisabeth P.

"One of the parents sent me a text today saying 'Matthew had such a great time at the magic show that he slept with his magic dollar last night'."

If your child does not love it, you pay nothing

That is the whole guarantee. No small print, no conditions. I have been doing this full time for over 35 years and nobody has ever asked me to honor it.

Good to know

The questions I get asked most

How much space do you need?

An area about 8 feet by 8 feet is ideal, with room in front of that for the children to sit. Nothing in the show is messy and nothing can damage your home.

Can the show be outside?

Indoors works best. It is a more controlled space, so the show plays better and the children stay focused. There is also the rabbit to think about, and indoors is better for her health and comfort. Tell me your setup and I will be honest about whether it will work.

What do I need to provide?

Nothing at all. I arrive completely self-contained and bring my own tables and equipment.

How long does setup take?

I arrive about twenty minutes before the show starts, and it takes me around ten minutes to pack up afterward.

Can we take photos and video?

Yes, please do. There are plenty of great moments to capture and a lot of parents are glad afterward that they did.
